Introducing Bloodlines
Meet The Fam
- Dumpster Family – First 10 TP (Locked, not changing)
- Toter Family – 11 through 25 (pending shift around)
- Can Family – 26-74 (pending shift around)
- Bin Family– End of Generation 1 (75-167 pending shift around)
In preparation for breeding season I have started to cover aspects that will go into breeding. First I needed to sort the TRASHPUNKS (TP) into categories somehow, one obvious way, was by family. I had originally planned on doing them in “Cans”, example: can1 can2 can3….
That didn’t feel trashy enough to me. I then imagined the bin inside of the can, the can inside of the toter, and the toter inside of the dumpster, similar to Matryoshka dolls (wiki). This lead me to the creation of the above bloodlines.
A shift around of some punks may be considered depending on the outcome of the information below, some of the rare TP may be moved to a different bloodline.
I feel like this was the perfect way to split the existing TP manually, but I needed more.
On each TP you may notice they all have one unique trait dubbed “effect”. This will be great for piecing two TP together manually, but what if I got AI involved to identify more commonalities? How far could I push this art experiment that is TRASH at its core.
What is TRASHART is a buzzing question lately, and it has no ‘single’ right answer. To me, it is pure, unadulterated freedom of creativity, with ZERO RULES. This includes the sensitive subject of remixing another artists work to create a message of your own. Some look down on the remix approach, which causes debate, bringing the core of art to life, communication.
Trying to push TRASHPUNKS to a point where people could look past the original project and see my vision, led me to collaborate with AI. Seriously, how amazing is it that we can collaborate with an intelligence that we created? I needed a way to determine characteristics that I couldn’t see with my eyes, even though I designed each TP by hand. I wasn’t focused on what traits they had as I made them, I was focused on the message. Each TP has a unique story, that is written before creating the punk. This allows me to apply my approach to art, focused solely on the message, while building a unique collectible.
So, back to AI, I have been training Machine Learning to identify commonalities between TP and represent them as a hash. As we know, a hash is not a human readable word, but a cryptographically determined output. Once training has commenced, the hashes will be assigned to each TP, and this will determine the rarity and individuality of each TP and allow them to be sorted [common, uncommon, rare, legendary].
Along with rarity, this will help me to narrow traits when breeding the TP for Generation Two, especially if I decide to collaborate with AI on the creation as well.
IF YOU CAN’T KEEP IT CLASSY, STAY TRASHY MFS!
